Our Story

Vila Emona apartments are located on the edge of the downtown of Ljubljana where was Roman Empire’s small yet strategically important city of Emona. Two thousand years before today’s Ljubljana, the Roman town of Emona stood in this place – a walled urban settlement with a square layout of streets, a central forum, other public buildings, and even water supply and sewers. This was one of the foundations of today’s city, beautiful Ljubljana. With the pride of our history and heritage, we named our Vila Emona.

I went to Ljubljana for a meeting, and I found Villa Emona in the middle of the city with parking. The location was great, size of the apartment was adequate with a nice view of Ljubljana castle, and It was perfectly clean.

The location of Vila Emona is superb. It’s approximately 10-minute walk from the Triple Bridges. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and larger than the expected size. We were 4 in a room (2 adults and 2 kids) and did not feel cramped. Vila Emona is a perfect place to stay in Ljubljana if you have kids.
